ANI    11 May 2020

On Sunday, the Health Minister Satyendar Jain stated that the discrepancies or mismatch in COVID-19 death figures in the national capital is due to several hospitals failing to send across a detailed summary of deaths to the Delhi government.

The government has now instructed few hospitals to give a detailed summary within 24 hours of the deaths to resolve the issue related to it.

Jain stated that they have started releasing COVID-19 bulletins from 12 am to 12 am the next day. There was confusion earlier over the timing of the bulletin, therefore the bulletin will be released for the whole day.

Jain had said that, on Saturday, some mismatch was found in few coronavirus reports of a private laboratory as well government one, so they are getting it checked again.

According to the health bulletin issued by the DGHS, the total number of active cases in Delhi has reached at 4,781. Out of these 2,069 patients are cured and recovered, however 73 deaths have occurred due to the COVID-19 disease.

The informations released by DGHS includes the data from 12 midnight of 8th May to the 12 midnight of 9th May.

After Maharashtra and Gujarat, Delhi is the third-worst affected city by COVID-19 in India.
